With the evolution of modern digital photography it is becoming easier to capture an instant moment, whether on a mobile phone or a digital camera. But can any photographic portrait taken in a fraction of a second do justice to the true complexity of that human being?

Using a scanner to take a portrait, the subject’s image is compiled by thousands of slices to make a portrait over the period of two minutes. This is echoed with typographic dialect about what they are speaking about at that particular moment in time.
